First time at HOST ๐
I’ve been to many trade fairs, but HOST Milano 2025 is truly something special.
Every two years, Milan becomes the meeting point for the international gastronomy and pizza scene โ and this year, from October 17th to 21st, 2025, I was there for the very first time ๐
As soon as I walked in, it was clear:
This wouldn’t be a normal trade fair visit โ it would be a small pilgrimage for pizza lovers ๐
The air was filled with the scent of fresh dough, espresso, and melted cheeseโฆ you didn’t know where to look first.
Day 1 โ Partners, Pizza & Pure Inspiration ๐
The first day was a whirlwind of impressions โ and honestly: you can never see everything here!
I saw and tested so many exciting things and was amazed, the day flew by.
A special highlight was finally meeting some of my partners again โ and also getting to know many new faces:
๐ Sunmix โ the Italian dough kneading specialists whose machines I simply love โค๏ธ
๐ Cerutti โ high-quality pizza peels with great craftsmanship and Italian style
๐ Genus Dei โ they supply our robust pizza dough box, which are in use daily
๐ Molino Dallagiovanna โ the flour mill whose products are in almost all of my doughs ๐








I had great conversations, got to touch, see, and sometimes even try out new products โ that’s exactly what I love about events like these.
It’s not just about products here, but about passion, exchange, and the shared enthusiasm for the perfect dough.
Day 2 โ Technology, Trends & the Best Gelato in the World ๐ฆ
The second (and last) day was at least as intense as the first.
I had many more exciting appointments, this time with other partners of ours:

We talked a lot about new developments and also tried out a few exciting things โ
including dough presses that automatically form a uniformly round pizza from a dough ball ๐ณ

I was skeptical at first, but the result was surprisingly good.
Of course, it doesn’t replace spreading the dough by hand ๐ โ but it was certainly exciting!
In between, I also looked at other manufacturers like Sud Forni and Izzo Forni โ two brands that enjoy a legendary reputation in the oven world.






The quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail โ typically Italian ๐ฎ๐น
Short Break, Great Enjoyment ๐คค
After so many conversations, halls, and impressions, a short break was needed.
And what is absolutely essential in Italy?
Right โ Gelato! ๐จ
At Babbi, I discovered my personal highlight: probably the best pistachio gelato of my life.
Creamy, nutty, simply perfect.
And then a flavor of “Sachertorte” โ that made me feel right at home ๐ฆ๐นโค๏ธ
A little piece of Austria in the middle of Milan โ that was the moment when I could just enjoy for a moment.




My Conclusion – Host Milano 2025โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
After two intensive days, it was clear:
HOST Milano is not just a trade fair โ it’s an experience.
You meet friends, discover new things, exchange ideas, and come home with so many ideas that you want to get started right away.
I am incredibly grateful for the many conversations, new impulses, and especially for the collaboration with our great partners.

By the way, the next HOST will take place from October 22nd to 26th, 2027 โ and one thing is certain:
